• Perform day to day functions as required by the SOE tools, including but not limited to:
• Implement custom data extracts
• Daily checks
• On boarding - create repositories, configuration & definition of metrics etc
• Reporting - design / tune procedures & queries
• Resource and data administration
• Fault investigation & resolution (where appropriate)
• Change Management
• Managing scheduled processes
• Reporting Services Administration including report security, user & report management
• Managing files & log files
• Creating stored procedures
• Granting privileges
• Metrics administration
• Broker, Parser and Transformation Configuration
• Manage & Create Native Parsers
• Manage Metric Transformations
• Configure Users for Admin tool
• Service Excellence Reporting Administration
• SME for the data to day operations of the SOE Tools.
• Escalation of problems to level 2 support (when required)
• Platform operations / management
• SQL Development and Query optimization
• Responsible for mentoring and supporting other team members

• A minimum of 5 years working experience in database application development and coding SQL.
• Must have experience in database query optimization, performance tuning and be able to provide assistance with databases issues caused by the application or database scripts.
• Ability to write advanced SQL procedures and guide others in database techniques.
• Must have expertise in Oracle & MS SQL Server.
• Able to work independently.
• Excellent problem solving skills and methodology.
• Able to act as champion for adherence to process and standards.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to support Windows operating systems would be well regarded.
• Knowledge of DB2 would be well regarded.
• Knowledge of the UNIX environment & shell programming would be well regarded.
• Familiarity with Crystal Reporting and Microsoft Reporting Services would be well regarded.
• Experience with Perl Scripting and other scripting languages would be an advantage.
