Job Description:
Responsible for proper recording of all transactions related to payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable ensuring compliance with guidelines prescribed by the Department of Finance.
Responsibilities:
- Administer the preparation, distribution, and reporting processes for payroll as per the guidelines prescribed by Department of Finance;
- Handle all processes related to within the Accounts Section related to generating salaries, benefits, full & final settlements (EOSB) and pension payments to all company employees and ensure they are disbursed timely and accurately as per the input provided by the HR & Administration Division;
- Initiate salary remittance to banks as well as the issuance of pay checks to company employees on a monthly basis;
- Administer and manage invoicing and collection of receivables;
- Carry out the execution of all month-end closing activities and settle all expense payments in a timely manner;
- Ensure timely processing of all payables/ invoices to suppliers/ vendors/ service providers (in coordination with the Procurement Division and other relevant Division) and that supplier enquiries are dealt with, resolving exceptional cases / issues arising in relation to unpaid invoices;
- Handle the billing and collection activities of the Accounting Section of company and collect all outstanding debts in order to meet monthly targets of collections;
- Prepare the company Accounts Receivable ledger and reconcile the Debtors Control Account
- Maintain all payroll general ledger accounts and personnel budgetary balances for all company payroll accounts;
- Prepare account analysis, accounting entries and financial reports and statements to ensure payroll information is accurately and properly reflected in the company financial accounting system in a timely manner.
- Calculate wages, overtime, and deductions to ensure compliance with company guidelines/ procedures;

- Knowledge of accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, controls and audit.
- Knowledge and application of financial Accounting practices & principles.
- Knowledge of federal and local payroll and benefits legislation and practices.
- Knowledge of government financial accounting policies and procedures.
