Job Description:
Instruct students from diverse backgrounds in a wide range of computing content areas; uses traditional and non-traditional methods of instruction including computer assisted instruction, collaborative learning and alternative delivery teaching. Advises Computing Student. Establishes and maintains contacts within the computing industry.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and instructs a diverse population of students in a classroom and/or lab setting.
- Develops written course outlines and course materials
- Evaluates knowledge of subject matter taught and monitors students’ scholastic records
- Has the ability to do Research in their specializations
- Develops and enhances knowledge of subject matter taught and individual training skills required to remain current with new trends and developments in the field and to promote the capabilities of teaching and learning through attendance of conferences, courses, seminars, and/or workshops
- Maintains office hours to assist and advise students
- Engages in the academic life of the college by participating in various academic committees Special Working Conditions:
- May be required to teach at multiple sites and/or may be assigned to teach days, evenings, or weekends
Skills:
- A portfolio of student and/or professional work and names of three references
- In-depth knowledge and experience in academic programs based on the American Model of Education
- Must have demonstrated ability in advising, guiding and counseling students
- Commitment to diversity and multiculturalism
- Ability to work effectively as part of the team
- High English language proficiency
- Official certificates of all achieved degrees
- PhD in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science and Information Technology from well known/accredited universities such as from USA, UK, Canada, Australia with “E-Commerce / Web Application Development” specialization The applicant should be able to teach:
- CIS 305 E-Commerce Technologies
- CIS 309 Web Application Development
- CEC 361 Mobile Computing.
