Job Description:
Provide leadership and direction across the facility in the Management of Quality, direct programs for the improvement of business process efficiency and effectiveness in all areas of business activities
Responsibilities:
  • To establish and activate Project Quality Plan and procedures with Project staff.
  • Preparation of inspection and test plans and check lists for site activities.
  • Preparation of Method statements for various installations in coordination with senior engineers and construction in charges.
  • Ensuring inspection of material received at site after receiving information from stores in charge.
  • Ensuring inspections of installations are taking place when advised by construction –in – charge/ site engineer/supervisor.
  • Monitoring quality control for each definable area/section of work, Method statements, ITPs and specification.
  • Co-ordination with Main contractor, Consultants and Local Authorities for arrangement of site inspection.
  • Evaluation of products, Client / Consultant’s complaints regarding products and installation.
  • Co-ordination with Main Contractor/ Consultant and other contractor’s quality representatives.
  • Monitor and supervise tests required in the technical provision of the Contract.
  • Control, reporting and processing of non- conformance.
  • Coordinate with Main contractor’s MEP coordinator and QA/QC manager
  • Develop policy and systems and advice on all aspects of quality assurance and control
  • Custodian of the company’s quality assurance and quality control systems
  • Lead the program for continuous quality improvement and coordinate re-engineering and other process improvement activities as needed
  • Lead the facility towards recognition as a leader in quality in the region
  • Identifying opportunities for synergies between the elements of the MACAir Group
  • Identifying best practice opportunities from new technologies
  • Identifying new management system opportunities
  • Maintenance and management of the company’s ISO, ASME, API, ABS, GL and other Certificated systems

Job Qualification
  • 5+ years relevant engineering/construction experience
  • A high standard of general education i.e. diploma, degree in Engineering
  • Able to communicate orally with confidence
  • Excellent listening skills and ability to coach subordinates
  • Excellent in verbal and written communication
  • Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate others
