Responsibilities:
- Manage and facilitate all facets of supply management activities between division business units and their suppliers.
- Approves bid proposals and specifications, and presents recommendations on purchases requiring management approval.
- Evaluates overall revisions, price and past performance of each contract and approves price increases.
- Implement sourcing strategies to support corporate and divisional objectives, providing the company competitive advantage in the areas of materials, supplies, and services.
- Locate, analyze, and develop a consolidated supplier base to meet current and future commodity needs.
- Negotiate and manage all contracts and agreements for assigned commodities
- Manage suppliers, cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Maintains and promotes sound relationships with suppliers and the business community
Knowledge of:
- Procurement methods and procedures.
- Commodity markets and price trends.
- Various grades, qualities and varieties of materials, supplies and equipments.
- Accounting practices as applied to procurement procedures.
Knowledge of:
- 5+ years of progressive procurement MEP experience.
- Advanced knowledge of procurement principles, theories and processes.
- BA/BS degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Management or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead, influence and motivate others.
