Job Description:
Reporting to the Civil Engineer /Surveyor, the Civil Inspector will be performing various QA/QC functions and duties during civil construction. Executes the specific inspections on materials, equipment, and construction/installation activities on site Checks the preparation of foundations, reinforcements, etc., monitors atmospheric conditions, reviews and/or witnesses laboratory testing results, checks moisture content, verifies special processes, and conducts various other tasks under the direction of the Civil Engineering.

Minimum of 8 year civil construction experience on large scale infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, interchanges, port and/or wharf facilities. Should have proven experience interfacing and liaising with EPC Contractors.

• Should possess knowledge in the following areas:
• Steel construction
• Road and Bridge construction
• Cast-in-place concrete construction
• Masonry Construction
• Controlled Structural Fill (Prepared Fill)
• Pile Foundations
• Pier Foundations
• The candidates should have good working knowledge of - and preferably accreditations to - the following standards:
• International Building Code (IBC), Chapter 17
• American Concrete Institute (ACI) requirements and certifications
• American Welding Society (AWS) requirements and certifications (CWI Preferred - or CSWIP) American Society of Non-Destructive Testing (ASNT) - Preferably Level II certified.
• International Code Council (ICC)
• National Institution for Certification in Engineering Technologies
• Must be fluent in English
