Job Description:
- Analyzing project scope of supply and customer contract requirements to ensure adequate risk analysis and risk transfer to supplier contracts (back-to-back where applicable).
- Initiate vendor negotiation concepts.
- Defining procurement strategies in projects on the basis of Division-wide and Group-wide procurement strategies and ensuring their implementation.
- Identifying the adequate approaches and integrating diverse objectives to achieve the project targets. Establishing proper sourcing concepts, coordinating the procurement resources involved in the project and informing all involved in procurement to optimize impact on cost-cutting potential and meet requirements concerning deadlines and quality.
- Providing marketing and sales with purchased material cost and lead times for their assigned projects in the proposal phase, considering project and market requirements, restrictions and opportunities.
- Driving implementation of the vendor contracts in their projects supported by engineering and specialist buyers, ensuring fulfillment and handling a proper controlling and claim management to avoid risk and non confirmed costs.
- Heading contractual and price negotiations supported by specialist buyers for all material purchased within their projects acting with full mandate towards the suppliers.
- Reporting status and progress of project procurement to project and procurement management and ensure communication and information sharing within E O for items of strategic relevance.
- Systematic forwarding of relevant project information (e.g. updated contractual conditions, supplier management data, and market experience) to keep the project team and all indirectly involved up to date with the latest information.
- Interdisciplinary working group/project work to inform oneself, exert influence and optimize internal processes and procedures.

- Excellent command of English language.
- Professional user of Ms. Office applications.

- Commercial and Quality knowledge.
- Knowledge of contract law.
Experience
- Several years of experience in various roles within procurement as well as cross-functional experience of 2-3 years.
- Capability to work and negotiate in different cultures, preferably demonstrated in Middle East assignments.
